Bob joined the Marnix family in January 2018 and was appointed as CEO in July. With more than 40 years of experience under his belt in the international insurance and reinsurance markets, Bob has worked as both an underwriter and broker, serving with Sedgwick (Marsh) Allianz, ACE, Willis and QBE’s Lloyd’s syndicate.
His main areas of expertise are in the areas of construction, energy and engineering, but he has also been active in marine, property and casualty, as well as treaty reinsurance.
Peter has 40 years of insurance industry experience, including 30 years in Asia. Peter is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of UK.
He has successfully managed both regional and country-based operations in the underwriting, risk management and broking sectors and has operated in both retail and wholesale segments. He has also been involved in servicing a broad range of Asia based and global clients in the power, mining, pulp and paper, petrochemical and manufacturing sectors.
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Administrative Officer
Fujita joined Marubeni in 1992 and began his foray into the insurance industry in 2004.
Since then, he has assumed senior insurance roles within the Marubeni corporation which include group captives, the Marubeni Safenet agency, as well as Marnix Tokyo and Singapore operations.
Chief Financial Officer
Mui Eng has been the Chief Financial Officer of the company since it was set up in year 2010.
She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance broking industry and is also a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Prior to joining Marnix, she was with one of the top insurance broking firms for 15 years.
Global Head, Power & Engineering
Kif joined Marnix in 2015 as a Director in the Power and Engineering team and leads a team of brokers focused on delivering insurance solutions and services to power generation clients in Asia. He specialises in property, business interruption, general liability, terrorism, etc. for clients in these segments.
Kif has over 20 years of working experience in the insurance industry and has held various positions in
client management, underwriting, risk engineering and loss adjustment, mainly in FM Global and ACR.
Specialising in challenging occupancies, he has led teams of underwriters, risk engineers and claims adjusters in meeting the insurance needs of numerous clients in industries such as Power, Semiconductor and Chemical, throughout Asia.
Naomi has been responsible for managing reinsurance placements for operational and construction power projects not only in Asia but also in the Middle East, South America and other regions mostly for Marubeni related projects.
She joined Marubeni in 2008 and has played a key role in setting up the Marnix Singapore office. Having developed her career in Tokyo as a General Manager from May 2012 by leading a team which handles insurance for the heavy industry sector including power projects, she was relocated to Singapore in April 2014.
Before joining Marubeni, she worked for Sompo Japan Insurance, dedicating herself to marketing a variety of product lines mainly in the retail insurance area.
Director Facultative Broking
Kazunori joined Marnix in 2019.
He joined Marubeni in 2008 and was assigned to Marubeni Safenet Co., Ltd, one of the most sizable Japanese insurance agency. He has been mainly responsible for the placement for marine cargo, trade credit and general liability of Marubeni related business. After Marubeni Safenet, he has transferred to Insurance Business Development Team of Marubeni in 2012.
He played a key role in managing the captive in the Federated States of Micronesia and setting up the captive in Vermont, U.S.A. Just before relocating to Marnix, he has also worked at Marnix Tokyo for 3 years and manage reinsurance placements for operational and construction power projects of Marubeni related projects.
Before joining Marubeni, he worked for Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. dedicating himself to designing marine cargo insurance programs for key accounts.
A graduate of the Singapore Institute of Management with a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of London, Melissa is a new addition to the Power and Engineering team at Marnix.
She is providing strong support to the team and is involved in servicing major clients.
Poh Lueng joined Marnix in 2014 as Director of the Treaty Division, having previously served in a similar capacity at PWS. His main areas of responsibility are the management of the Treaty portfolio and new business development in the Asian territories.
Besides the traditional classes of Property, Engineering, Marine and Casualty, he is also involved in the delivery of Specialty lines solutions such as Bonds, Credit, Guarantees and Warranty.
He has more than 20 years of reinsurance experience and had served in various director and management positions in both broking and underwriting companies.
Poh Lueng is also a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and qualified Associate of the Charted Insurance Institute (ACII).
A Broking Assistant in Marnix, Joy assists in casualty Facultative and Treaty reinsurance mainly for China
Handling business operations in the Specialty and Treaty portfolios, Joy’s responsibilities include assisting in placement and communicating regularly with clients and reinsurers on renewals, endorsements and claims.
A key member of the Broking Team for the Treaty Division, Yi Xin assists the Treaty Director in the reinsurance placement and development of the Treaty portfolio across all lines both for Quota Share and Excess of Loss contracts. She also maintains and updates the Treaty portfolio statistics and handles Treaty business from the Asia Pacific.
Before joining Marnix in 2014, Yi Xin was a Technical Administrator for a Lloyd’s Broker and handled treaty reinsurance premium and claims transactions.
John has held directorship roles in UK, Malaysia and Singapore and has worked in the reinsurance industry for 30 years.
During the span of his career, he has been involved in production and broking of all classes of reinsurance business, placing risks into local and global markets, focused on Construction, Project Marine Cargo, Property and Aviation.
Joining Marnix in 2014 as Facultative Director, John handles placements on behalf of Marubeni and other Japanese interests and non-Japanese clients alike.
With over 18 years’ experience in insurance and reinsurance industry, Eugene has taken on various roles
at Allianz Malaysia and Great Eastern General in Malaysia and Singapore.
These roles included producing and developing the agency, bancassurance and direct corporate segments. Prior to joining Marnix, he was a senior broker with UIB Asia managing a broking and placement team focused on general Facultative lines of business across South East Asia.
At Marnix, Eugene focuses on the broking and placements for major clients in South East Asia, predominantly in the Property and Construction lines of business.
Beginning her career in insurance working with various insurance companies in Indonesia, Elia moved to Singapore in 2014 and joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) Risk Solutions Asia in the Energy and Industry Risks Division. She subsequently moved to THB Reinsurance Brokers which was then acquired by Marnix.
Responsible for reinsurance placement and client management for Facultative accounts mostly in Thailand and Indonesia, Elia also has significant experience in working on major accounts in the Energy, Mining,
Semiconductor and Telecommunication sectors.
Jeanne commenced her career in insurance as a direct corporate broker with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) before joining the reinsurance industry in 2002.
Having started her reinsurance career with PWS East Asia Pte Ltd (subsequently renamed THB Reinsurance Brokers Singapore), she then joined Marnix Insurance Brokers Asia in 2014.
Jeanne has reinsurance experience in major property accounts across various industries such as Mining, Power, Energy, Semiconductor, Textiles, Pulp and Paper, as well as Petrochemicals for countries like Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand and USA.
Theresa is focused on developing, placing and servicing the reinsurance business emanating predominantly from emerging markets in Asia Pacific such as India, Philippines, Taiwan, and Thailand, as well as other territories like the Middle East and USA domiciled risks.
Her principal focus is on Casualty, Financial and Specialty lines and she is also actively involved in conceptualising various facilities and schemes.
Prior to her employment with Marnix in 2014, Theresa worked at PWS East Asia Pte Ltd in Philippines for almost 10 years.
Responsible for broking and placements of Faculative risks across South East Asia, Benjamin’s focus in Marnix is in the areas of Power, Property and Construction.
Experienced in both life and general insurance including retail broking, client serving and risk advisory, Benjamin served under big names such as Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) and Great Eastern Assurance Co Singapore prior to joining Marnix.
He used to support JLT’s Major Corporate Client Solutions team, managing accounts in various sectors, such as healthcare, logistics, automobile, R&D, and FMCG.
